Boo!

My "Monday Menu Plan" will come later, but for now I thought I would show you the 2 cutest little kitties ever.
Aren't they adorable?! We went to Boo in the Zoo at our local zoo this past Friday. We have a membership there, so we always get to go on the first night. We've gone since Isabella was a baby, so this was our 5th year. The girls love it, I love seeing them all dressed up, and its always such a nice non-scary environment (well, except Amelia didn't like some of the costumes that kids had on) This year Isabella told me she wanted to be a kitty cat, mainly because she wanted me to paint her face. Her reasonings always crack me up. Amelia wanted to be "backpack" or "fru fru" -- I decided on a "fru fru" kitty cat and made her a little tutu to go with her outfit. She loved it. I think she knows just how cute she looks.

I asked Isabella if she wanted a tutu and she said no. After I got her dressed up, I:

1. Noticed that in buying the $1.50 pair of tights instead of the $4 pair of "dancing" tights, you could kind of see the black line. It wasn't as noticeable as it is in the picture (flash photography does crazy things to black clothing.)

2. I thought the tutu was just way too cute, she should've had one.

3. Wondered why I gave her a choice....

4. Noticed she looked way too "grown up" and decided if we go to anything else this season, I'll be making her a tutu. :)

I think this was the cheapest costume yet, we already have gymnastics leotards, they have black shoes, they needed black tights, so its not just for the costume, and the headband/bowtie/tail was $4 at Wal Mart and it cost me less than $4 to make the tutu. And although, I didn't spend a lot on last years Dorothy and Glinda -- they were much more time consuming for mommy to make. Maybe they will be kitties every year from now on. :)

Casey was a leopard last year and I just bought her a jogging outfit that she could wear all year and the cat ears and the tail. I also bought a black one and guess what she is going as this year? A black kitty. We should get all the girls together and take their pics in their black cat costumes. And if Ebby wasn't so mean they could get with her and we would have all of our babies in black cat costumes. I am glad that you had fun at Boo in the Zoo and the girls look so cute. I really think that the tutu makes the costume though.

Awww. Those are cute little kitty cats! This is my first year that no one is dressing up at my house. I'm sad!

The girls do look awfully cute.
Melva, I can't help it that my Ebbie doesn't play well with others! :-)

I just clicked on the link from last year and it just made me laugh. I'm surprised Amelia could walk with all that "fru fru." I forgot what it looked like. I think it was then that she decided to love the fru-fru look, and man, who can blame her! Pink, girly, lots of tu-tu and sparkling stars....Make me one of those. I'd be so much happier washing dishes and folding laundry in one...pretty please? :o)

Loved the kitty outfits! (and very frugal, too!) They look so sweet! You did a great job on their makeup!

You're girls are cute and everything, but do you realize that my poor family is starving.... I had no idea what to cook. I've been waiting all week for your menus!

Very cute kitty cats! I am so happy I got to meet you all, even though it was only briefly. Your girls are even more adorable in person (although they looked at me rather suspiciously at that chick-fil-a! =)
