More Easter Pics

Here are some pictures of the girls with cousins - Tyler, Garrett & Olivia. We can't seem to get all the kids to smile at the camera, we were lucky to get them to stand still and look at the camera. :) Tyler is 10 and the others are 3,2,1,0 (almost a month). I guess Tyler is going to have to get used to being followed around by 4 little ones. The 3 girls looked so pretty in their frilly Easter dresses. Kenny & Mike might as well start preparing now for those giggly girly slumber parties - they are sure to come!!

3 Weeks Old

Our little Amelia is 3 weeks old today!! I have no idea how much she weighs right now, her drs appointment is not until the 25th - due to them having to get her records faxed from Florida. The only other way to weigh her would be for me to get on the scale first..... and that's not going to happen! I can tell she's filling out some although she still mainly just fits in her newborn clothes, so I can't say for sure how much. Anyway..... she's a very good little baby - still mainly just sleeps all the time (yes, I already know, so please don't be the next person to tell me "don't complain, that will change soon.") She is very content and rarely fusses -- alot like Isabella was so we will be thrilled if she stays this way. She is less of a "passy baby" than Isabella so we might be lacking the "mute" button when she does get fussy. Isabella is definitely becoming a little mother hen - yesterday "us girls" went out to the store and on the way home the 2 in the back fell asleep. Well, when I got home, I took Amelia out of the car and put her in the house, went back and got Isabella and as soon as we got to the door Isabella perked her sleepy little head up and said "Baby Dister!" looking back at the car -- she was so afraid that mommy had left her baby sister in the car, she was relieved to see her in her carseat on the floor when we opened the door. I just hope and pray that the girls will be close as they grow up.

Growing up

Life is fleeting, years rush past...
and little girls grow up so fast!
Let me take time out to be
glad that mine's still here with me.
And though I'm busy through the day,
let me take time out to play...
Let me take time out to smile,
to linger with her for a while...
To invite her under the table for tea
and dress up silly as can be.
Let me take time out to sing
and dance and skip
and twirl and swing...
To splash in puddles when it rains
and make her fancy daisy chains.
Let me take time out to hear
about the things that she holds dear.
Let me tuck her in at night,
hear her prayers, turn off the light.
And for one more moment let me pray
and thank God that we shared this day
!

2 weeks old

Although we've only been home for 5 days, Amelia is 2 weeks old today!! Seems to have gained a little bit of weight and we measured her and she is actually 21 inches long. We're thinking they measured wrong at the hospital because there's no way she's grown 2 inches in 2 weeks. :) Even just 2 weeks have flown by, I'm sure I will turn around and I will be looking at her like we do Isabella - in disbelief that she has grown up so fast. Isabella still adores her baby sister and doesn't seem jealous of her - other than with her Papa. Papa came up tonight to see the girls and anytime he would talk to the baby, hold the baby, etc - Isabella would make sure to do something to get his attention --- she would say "Look, Papa"..... Thankfully, she's not a grouchy or crying jealous, just wants to make sure she's being noticed too. These pictures are from a little photo shoot today - I had to add the little crying picture so you can see it wasn't all easy.
