Tuesday's Treasure

I just thought I would throw in a quick and rather last minute Tuesday's Treasure. Tomorrow I will be posting actual pictures and tell a little more about today, but I didn't want to let the day go by without saying that today our little Amelia officially became ours!! Even though it was just over the phone, it was still a sweet moment knowing that everything is official. The judge and the lady (I'm not sure if it was our attorney, the clerk, ??) that we talked to were both so sweet and I know that our attorney with Isabella told us that this is the one part of their job they truly enjoy. To see families adopting children is encouraging especially when a lot of sadness occurs in family court. The reason I'm not posting pictures from today is because we are getting ready to head to Build a Bear to have the girls both make bears in honor of today (well Isabella will actually get to help with her baby sister's). Isabella's excited about this - although we keep telling her she is not allowed to make another Cookie Monster. :) Then we are going out to eat with my family.

Its also really amazing to look at this finalization as a picture of our adoption in Christ. Today the court declared that Amelia is legally in every way OURS and that she has a "new name" - ours. Just as we are made new in Christ. Its a humbling thought to think and I can't even put in to words how grateful I am for what God has done for us and how He has shown Himself through the adoptions of both of our girls.

Sorry Becky - I removed your post since you decided to give all of our incriminating evidence away. Why not just tell everyone my social and that I live in Fargo, ND!!! :)

Here's your previous post with my deletion - what were you thinking telling everyone who we are!!!! :)

Oh my goodness! That face of hers is so incredibly cute! She looks like a little dolly! Congratulations Amelia **! Little do you know, Sugar-pie, that you have the best Daddy, Mommy and big "dister"! You are have added even more sweetness to this already wonderful family! :o)
I like what you said about likening the adoption to our adoption in Christ. You said it perfectly and so beautifully! Hope you had fun tonight.

Congratulations!!

I am happy for all of you and I loved the analogy. It is really beautiful to think about it that way...and you are blessed to get to experience that feeling firsthand...

Also, Can I vist you in Fargo? Isn't your house the Blue one on Elm Street, right after you get off the second exit on the bypass... with the green van parked in front? Do you still hide your key under the little clay rabbit ( I don't know if I spelled that right?) ...BuNNY??

Whoops, sorry for messing up your page here, Deanna, but I published twice by accident and had to take advantage of the trash can. Man, between my little sister and I, this page is getting a little cluttered, isn't it?

lol... Dead sorry!!!!!!! At first I was like, "Oh my word, does everyone know who "dister" is? It took me a bit to realize what I did. HAVE MERCY! I have no idea what I was thinking!!! Ok, just for that, you can totally post my weight. It's my penance for what I did. Here, I'll just give it to you... it's 108 lbs. Oh there! I said it, I can't believe I actually said it....how embarassing!!! :o)

Thanks for the cover, Kelly. (lol) Phew! I almost got kicked outta here forever!

And as for you Kristine, don't you dare mock me, or I'll come right over there to Chattanooga, Tennessee and I'll drive right up there to 238 Purple Dinosaur Lane and REALLY tell ya what I think of you. OH, there I go again!
