5 Months

Amelia is 5 months old today! It seems like just yesterday we were bringing her home and now she is such a happy sweet beautiful little baby. She has the cutest little smile, which she readily gives to just about anyone. She also has this funny little throaty giggle when she laughs. And yes, I did put the huge flower on her head and I thought she looked adorable!! I said that if she is going to be stubborn about growing her hair, she is going to have to suffer the wrath of hairbands. :) These pictures were taken this weekend at a family reunion. Amelia was able to meet lots of family that she hadn't met before. Other than fussing for a little while when she was tired (to which she decided to give Papa some baby love by cuddling on his shoulder and finally going to sleep) she was a good little baby. We also found out that we will be finalizing her adoption in 2 weeks!! Yeah! We are not having to go back to Florida as we can do it telephonically, which is good financially, but the pictures won't be nearly as memorable. So, we are trying to think of something fun today to celebrate. For Isabella, we had to fly back to California and then went to Rainforest Cafe for dinner -- we don't have any restaurant and neat as that here so we are trying to think of something -- I realize she's only 5 months, but we want it to be special so that later on she doesn't feel like we did something special for Isabella but not her. Any suggestions?

ABSOLUTELY precious!!!!!! This isn't anything original, but you could have her a little party at your place or at the park with a cake that says something on it to remember her finalization : ) CONGRATS!!! I know that is a BIG day!!!! : )

What an adorable picture! She's gorgeous!

I think getting a cake to celebrate would be a great idea...or a party at a park, or zoo or something. Congrats on the upcoming adoption finalization!
